JOURNEYS

This series of paintings were made as a response to walking the many paths across the open heathland.
Painted with pace, the mark making and rhythmic brushstrokes within the paintings reflect the steps and traces made through the landscape, so familiar to the artist.
The area is said to have been that used by smugglers journeying from the Solent in times past.
